Telangana To Hold Education Week Celebrations From Today Till May 17

As part of the Telangana government’s flagship “Praja Palana – Pragati Pranalika” initiative, Education Week celebrations will be organised across the state from today till May 17. Marking the beginning of the celebrations, a massive public meeting will be held at LB Stadium in Hyderabad today at 5 pm.

Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy , who will attend the programme as the chief guest, will lay the foundation stone for infrastructure development works to be taken up in government schools under the Core Urban Region limits. State Chief Secretary K. Ramakrishna Rao directed district collectors to ensure the successful conduct of the Education Week celebrations.

Special exhibition stalls set up by the Education Department will be visited by the Chief Minister and ministers. These stalls will showcase new innovations introduced in the government education sector and the outstanding talent of students. The programme will begin with the Telangana state song , followed by march-pasts by school bands, NCC , and Scouts and Guides teams, which are expected to be a major attraction.

The Education Department Secretary will address the gathering on the government’s initiatives for the development of public education and the objectives of the Education Week celebrations. The Deputy Chief Minister, ministers, and other dignitaries will also speak on the occasion.

During the event, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy will outline the government’s vision for the development of government schools, educational reforms, and strengthening infrastructure across the state. Awards will also be presented to those who demonstrated outstanding performance.

In addition, laptops will be distributed to students of the KGBV Young India Institute of Excellence who qualified for the IIT Advanced examination . The government stated that the primary objective of the celebrations is to improve quality in the education sector and strengthen public confidence in government schools.
