In a brief but alarming road incident on the busy Mumbai-Pune Expressway , Nationalist Congress Party (Sharad Pawar faction) leader Supriya Sule said her car was hit by another vehicle while she was travelling from Pune to Mumbai on Saturday.

The Baramati Lok Sabha MP confirmed that although the collision caused a moment of panic, she remained completely safe as she was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the incident.

Sharing details on social media, Sule described how another vehicle suddenly came and rammed into her car from the side . She said the incident was unexpected and could have turned dangerous, but the seatbelt helped prevent any injury.

She also urged commuters to remain cautious on highways , stressing that road safety does not depend only on one’s own driving but also on the behaviour of reckless drivers . “It’s not just about how you drive, it could be a reckless driver,” she noted, underlining the unpredictability of road travel.

Sule further appealed to all travellers to always wear seatbelts, calling it a simple but vital safety measure that can prevent serious harm during accidents. She also shared the registration number of the vehicle involved, as mentioned in her post.

The incident occurred while she was travelling between Pune and Mumbai , one of the busiest road corridors in Maharashtra. Authorities have not yet issued an official statement on the incident.
